Common questions.
What's a 'resolved' conversation?
A conversation where Chatified answered the visitor's question with sufficient confidence and the visitor didn't escalate. We don't charge for conversations that end in human handoff, failed retrieval, or out-of-scope rejection.
Do I need a credit card to start?
Starter and Team both come with a 14-day trial of the full Team plan — no credit card required. We email you before the trial ends.
What happens when I go over my resolution limit?
We email you when you cross 80% of your plan and the messenger keeps working. Overage on both paid tiers is $0.02 per additional resolution, billed at month-end. No hard cutoff.
Why is Starter so cheap?
Because we want you to actually use it. Starter is priced as a wedge — enough to filter out non-serious signups, low enough that most small sites can run Chatified end-to-end without a budgeting conversation. Expect to graduate to Team once you cross ~500 resolutions/month.
Which LLM do you use?
Gemini 2.5 Flash by default — fast, cost-efficient, strong multilingual and long-context support. Enterprise customers can upgrade to the regional Vertex AI endpoint for zero-retention + data residency, or to Claude Sonnet for high-stakes use cases. Details in our architecture decisions (ADR-009).
Can I self-host?
On Business plans, yes — we ship a reference deployment for AWS, GCP, and Azure including regional data residency. Starter and Team run on our managed infrastructure.
Do you have a DPA?
Yes. On Team we provide a standard DPA on request. On Business we sign a custom DPA with the terms you need.
What about open source / nonprofits?
We give Team free to open source projects and heavily discounted to accredited nonprofits. Email founders@chatified.com.
